We've got snow! As you can see from the photos below, from Furano town we can now see white capped tips on Asahidake and Tokachidake Mountains. The evenings in town are a little cool now, getting down to about 6 degrees, but obviously up on the mountains its cooler. We didn't get the same precipitation in town as the mountains had to achieve the snow, which is fortunate. The weather forecast for the coming week is for fine days, and with the change in Autumn colours at its peak this week, Furano is looking magical after a wet September month.

Enjoy the images.

Welcome to Furano. Yes it's a beautiful sight with the snow-capped Asahidake in the background. Just a shame the power cables don't run underground.

An attempted panoramin view of the mountains from outside of Kitanomine 7-11.

The autumn leaves are changing. Here are a few shots of the leaves, with the Kitanomine Ski Resort in the background.n
