Soon this green field will be covered in waist deep snow. During winter there is a groomed cross country track that starts near the base of the power lines and winds up and around the mountain behind us. This mountain is called Namako Yama. Namako means sea cucumber. The shape and position of the mountain looks like a sea cucumber has just been placed in the middle of the fields.
