The 2005-2006 season was a memorable year at North Country Inn. Our first full season welcoming Australian guests brought wonderful friendships and unforgettable moments on the slopes of Furano.

The single link chair with no safety bar was scheduled for upgrade the following season to a double chair with safety bar - making it much safer and easier to use for all guests.

John, editor of Board The World website in Australia, spent a week in Furano in early March 2006. He documented his travels with daily reports and detailed reviews of the region. His comprehensive account covered not only hiking in the Daisetsuzan National Park, but all his Furano adventures throughout Central Hokkaido.
The 2005-2006 season marked North Country Inn's first real introduction to Australian guests. It was a great delight for the staff and fellow Japanese guests to interact, share time, and make new friendships.
